Yes! Hallmark is planning to film a Christmas movie in Carlinville in 2027, with filming expected to take place sometime between March and July. The movie is scheduled to premiere in October 2027!

As plans develop, we'll share more information about filming dates, locations, and what businesses and residents can expect, including any potential impacts on day-to-day activities around town.

Christmas in Carlinville is a community-wide effort, with several organizations working together to make this season special!

The traditional Christmas Market, held the first weekend in December, will continue to be organized by the same dedicated groups at the Square and Fairgrounds who bring it to life each year.

But this year, we're thinking beyond one weekend!

With more visitors expected throughout the holiday season, the Carlinville Chamber of Commerce is working alongside the City of Carlinville to expand Christmas experiences throughout the season. We're organizing new activities, coordinating a community-wide calendar, and helping local businesses and organizations create even more reasons to visit.

Our goal is simple: No matter when someone visits Carlinville this Christmas, we want them to find something special happening!
