LEGACY VINYL

When you pull into a business for the first time, you start forming an opinion long before you ever walk through the front door.

Maybe it's the sign that catches your eye. The clean logo on the company truck. The storefront windows. The wall graphics inside. Every detail quietly tells a story about that business.

That's where Legacy Vinyl comes in.

Owner Tom Carter founded Legacy Vinyl with one goal in mind: helping other businesses put their best foot forward. From custom signs and vehicle wraps to architectural window film, wall murals and graphic design, Legacy Vinyl creates the visual first impressions that help businesses stand out and build trust.

But ask Tom what he's most passionate about, and he won't start by talking about vinyl.

He'll talk about helping other businesses grow.

"I've always had an entrepreneurial mindset," Tom says. "Knowing that the work I do helps other businesses grow really motivates me to keep building my own."

That mindset is what makes Legacy Vinyl different.

Every project represents someone's dream. A family opening a new storefront. A contractor building a recognizable brand. A manufacturer investing in its facility. A company adding another truck to its fleet. Legacy Vinyl understands that what they're creating isn't just graphics. It's part of another business owner's livelihood.

"What makes me the proudest isn't just the finished product," Tom shared. "It's earning a customer's trust and delivering something they're excited to show off. When our customers succeed, we feel like we've played a small part in that success."

That philosophy has guided the company's growth over the past two years. While every project receives the same attention to detail, Legacy Vinyl is especially excited about expanding into larger commercial work, including architectural window film, custom wall graphics and large-scale branding projects.

Like many entrepreneurs, Tom has also learned that running a successful business is about much more than doing quality work.

One of his biggest lessons came during the slower seasons.

"You quickly learn that you can't rely on work always coming to you," he says. "I realized I had to focus on building relationships and improving marketing. Success isn't just about being good at what you do. It's about continually adapting, planning ahead and staying proactive."

That focus on relationships is also what led Legacy Vinyl to join the Carlinville Chamber of Commerce.

"We believe strong communities are built by strong local businesses," Tom says. "The Chamber brings together business owners who genuinely want to see each other succeed, and we wanted to be part of that."

It's a philosophy we couldn't agree with more.

The Chamber exists to help businesses thrive, and Legacy Vinyl has built an entire business around doing exactly that. Whether they're designing a storefront, wrapping a fleet vehicle or installing custom graphics, they're helping another business owner tell their story before a single word is ever spoken.

That's something worth celebrating!
