Carlinville Holiday Lights Tour & Contest
Help us light up Carlinville this Christmas! 🎄
We're putting together a holiday lights tour through Carlinville, and we'd love to include your home!
Whether you go all out with thousands of twinkling lights or prefer a classic Christmas display, this is a chance to help make our neighborhoods a little merrier for the families and visitors spending time in Carlinville this holiday season.
Beginning December 1, we'll share an official Holiday Lights Tour map featuring participating homes throughout Carlinville. Families can enjoy an evening driving through town, taking in the decorations, and voting for their favorite display.
And to make things a little more exciting, we're offering a $400 People's Choice Grand Prize!
The home receiving the most votes will win $400 and an official 2026 People's Choice Winner yard sign to proudly display!
How to Participate
Registration is $5 per home, which includes your official numbered contest sign and a spot on the Carlinville Holiday Lights Tour map.
Simply register by November 20, pick up your sign at the Discover Carlinville Welcome Center, and have your decorations ready to shine by December 1.
We ask that all participating homes keep their lights illuminated from 5–9 PM nightly, December 1–25, so visitors know when they can enjoy the displays. You're certainly welcome to leave them on longer!

The Holiday Lights Tour map will remain available through December 31 for those who would like to continue exploring the displays. Participating homes are only required to have their lights on through December 28.
