Meeting of the Minds Chamber Summit
The Carlinville Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the inaugural Chamber Summit: a collaborative gathering of Macoupin County leaders, city officials, business owners, and community advocates dedicated to driving growth across our region.
This county-wide event will bring together mayors, city executives, county officials, educators, and business innovators to share ideas, identify opportunities, and strengthen partnerships that support long-term economic success.

ANNUAL LIGHTING CEREMONY
The Carlinville Christmas Lighting Ceremony is one of our town’s most cherished traditions. Each year, families gather on the Square as local preschool children fill the air with Christmas carols, creating a moment that feels straight out of a holiday movie. The mayor and our Carlinville Queens lead the official countdown, and with a cheer from the crowd, the Square comes to life with twinkling lights that glow against the historic backdrop of our downtown.
Once the lights are shining, you’ll hear sirens in the distance as Santa arrives aboard the Carlinville Fire Department truck. He makes his way to his cottage on the Square, where children can visit, share their Christmas wishes, and take in the magic of the season.
It is a gentle, joyful evening that reminds us what makes Carlinville so special. A celebration of community, tradition, and the simple wonder of Christmas.
